The Hawthorn Hawks came to Charles McLaughlin Reserve on Tuesday Feb 2nd as part of their Hawks On Tour.  The evening was a great success attended by Many from Baulko as well as the Sydney Hawks.  HFC players Xavier Ellis, Tom Murphy and Michael Johnston were wonderful running coaching sessions with the many Baulko players that came along, as well as answering lots of questions and signing all manner of items.  A Huge thanks to everyone who came, especially the Sydney Hawks who ran a Great raffle (Congrats Michelle) and a very impressive merchandise desk.

You might think that playing with or against your idols in a senior AFL team is just a dream.  But here's a couple of of Elite Baulko Juniors that are Very close to realising that dream!

Trent Stubbs (17yo) flies to Melbourne to start his Hawthorn career today (24 Nov 2009) at 2pm. The Hawks leadership group decided that he will be met at the airport by Luke Hodge and stay at his place tonight, in preparation for his First Training Session with the Hawthorn Hawks tomorrow!  Trent played with Baulko until 2008, and has since played for East Coast Eagles (debut in their Seniors in 2009), and was part of the AIS AFL under 17 team.

Earlier this month, Nathan "Nipper" Gordon (Played 206 games for Baulko, playing his last Under 16 game in 2006 - a Winning Grand Final) was elevated to the Swans Rookie List - fingers crossed he will hopefully have a run in season 2010 in the Swans Seniors (He played season 2009 in the Swans Reserves). - Read about Nathan's elevation to the rookie list here

The Baulko Family are Extremely Proud of Nathan and Trent, and wish them all the very best with their Football Careers.  They are both wonderful young men and a credit to their families.

Playing Footy for Baulko is a terrific experience on many levels, and there is always the chance that you might one day follow in Trent and Nathan's footsteps - Keep Dreaming!

Joshua Battistella (Batman) and Rhett Stubbs (Baulko Under 14 players 2009) participated in the AFL Talented Player Program Academy Camp held at the AIS in Canberra 13th - 15th November 2009. The camp focused upon the continued development of the TPP players and coaching from TPP Coaches and Staff in full match conditions.

Recently the WSAS Western Sydney Academy held the annual dinner for all scholarship program holders at the Rooty Hill RSL. Kevin Sheedy was the special guest amongst a number of local, state MP's dignitaries. Key GWS AFL Staff in attendance including Allan McConnell, Nathan Bibby from the AFL.
