It would be fantastic to see as many Baulko families at Hawkesbury (Bensons Lane) cheering on these teams. We will be selling yellow supporter t-shirts at the clubhouse every night this week. Let’s flood Bensons Lane with a sea of yellow and “Go Baulko”!
Back to Baulko
Traditionally, teams will go back to the clubhouse after the grand final, regardless of the outcome, to celebrate the season that was. We encourage all Baulko families to join us back at the clubhouse Sunday from 6:00pm to celebrate these teams achievements this year and our season overall. The club will throw some sausages on the BBQ, feel free to bring down other meat to cook on BBQ and your own salads and nibblies. BYO all drinks.
Other achievements this week
On Monday, 10 Baulko players were invited to attend the Western Sydney Presentation evening; 3 for B & F, 6 for the All Stars Team.
Throughout the year, umpires give votes to 3 players from each game (U13 up). These are tallied up and at the end of the year, the top 5 players for each age group are invited along to this evening. This in itself is a fantastic achievement. Congratulations to Genevieve, Claire and Jack, and a big congratulations to Genevieve and Jack who took out first place in their respective age groups.

But that is not where the excitement ended! We were very excited & surprised when we heard that our Baulkham Hills Hawks was announced Western Sydney Juniors Club of the Year. And as if that was not enough, we were also announced as Sydney Juniors Club of the Year! The criteria for this award, goes beyond our on field performance. Clubs are assessed on categories such as umpire participation, growth & retention, coaching accreditation & overall admin amongst other things. This award is the result of hard work and enthusiasm of not just our committee, but all of you. A huge thank you to all of our coaches & managers, runners, water carriers etc and our parents & players. Without everyone’s combined efforts this would not be possible. We will make a special call out to the committee for their continued support and dedication throughout the year, the quiet achievers plugging away behind the scenes to help get our kids on the footy field.
Season 2018 wrap up and Towards 2019
Presentation Day is to be held on Sunday 23rd September. More information will follow, so ensure you save the date. There will be sausages on the BBQ and rides, but feel free to pack a picnic and make a day of it. Traditionally the younger age groups are in the first session, and the older teams in the second.
During the break we will hold our AGM. We encourage everyone to attend the meeting, as this is a great opportunity to hear how the club has gone this year and what we are hoping to work towards in 2019. All positions are declared vacant and then opened for nominations. We would love to see some new faces join the committee, whether it be in a specific role or as a general committee member. Over the next week or so, we will be sending out more information re the roles and what they entail.
We look forward to seeing many of you out at the Grand Final on Sunday!
Go Baulko
